Are you analytically strong, internationally minded, and ready for a flying start in the actuarial field?
Phenox Consultants is looking for a junior actuary for a unique international training position. You’ll work from Curaçao, Suriname, or the Netherlands while deepening your knowledge and applying it directly in real-world projects.
Year 1
Location: Curaçao – Base for projects focused on the Netherlands & Suriname
Year 2
Your choice: Curaçao, the Netherlands, or Suriname
Curaçao, Suriname of Nederland
What will you do?
As a junior actuary, you’ll contribute to a wide range of actuarial projects across the Dutch, Curaçao, and Surinamese markets. You’ll gain in-depth knowledge of local regulations, collaborate directly on client assignments, and develop your skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Your responsibilities include:
- Risk management and risk modelling
- Actuarial calculations and analysis (premiums, mortality, reserves)
- Data analysis using Excel, R, or Python
- Client interaction and support on pension and insurance matters
- Participation in an intensive training program

Who are we looking for?
- A completed Master’s degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Actuarial Science, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and interest in complex challenges
- Good communication skills (including client-facing communication)
- International mindset and willingness to work abroad
- Eager to learn and driven to grow
